The Clinical Laboratory is fully licensed by the state of California, certified by CMS, and accredited by the Joint Commission. Our full-service laboratory provides services for the hospital and out patients that visit us. We are open 24/7 and staffed by Clinical Laboratory Scientists and Phlebotomists, all currently licensed by the state of California. The Outpatient Laboratory is open 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday thru Friday, and open for STAT testing on the weekends.

Testing is performed in the areas of chemistry, immunochemistry, hematology, coagulation, immunology, microbiology, urinalysis and blood bank. State of the art equipment is used for testing patient specimens in each of these areas. Test results are communicated back to the originating nursing unit via the Lab Information System. The Clinical Laboratory serves as the physician’s right hand in treating our patients.

A board certified Pathologist oversees each of these specialty and subspecialty areas performing patient testing in the Clinical Laboratory. The staff have monthly meetings to focus on Quality Control, Performance Improvement, Safety and Compliance with all regulatory issues.
